At Amazing Love Church Ministry, Christianity Means Reality

Pastor Georges-William Ntemi, senior pastor at Amazing Love Church Ministry International, is a devout exponent of the values of Christianity according to biblical interpretation. To be a Christian means one must confront the realities of life on the basis of the Bible.

As many Christians attest to, Christianity is not a religion; it is reality, a pragmatic way of life that uses biblical references to explain and edify life’s trials, tribulations, and triumphs.

The beauty of Pastor Ntemi’s sermons is that he supports every human experience with a biblical text. This past Sunday, September 11, 2016, his sermon’s thematic framework was “Vision” and it was informed by Proverbs 29:18 that reads: “Where there is no vision, the people perish, but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”

Expounding on the quotation, Pastor Ntemi noted: “Vision is the ability to see beyond what the natural eyes can’t see. Don’t look at your present circumstance and think you are doomed because if you have faith and believe in him, he would take care of you. Trust in God, not in man.”

In a powerful sermon delivered on the 15th anniversary of the deadly attacks on America, the Man of God touched on an existential inevitability: ”We can’t help the way we came into the world. But what we can do is we can change the way we live in the world. You can change the way you live your life.”

Using “vision” as a motif, he reasoned that Christians need to banish vacillation and uncertainty from their lives by trusting in God. “If you don’t know where you’re heading, you’d be going back and forth, dazed in confusion. But, know that vision is in God’s hands; trust in him and your situation will change for the better,” he told the congregation.

Citing the trials and success story of Job as a classic case of illustration, he said, “Jehovah has your life in the palm of his hand. Wait for him to take you through. Job’s faith never wavered when Satan was taking him through his trials and tribulations. He can do for you what he did for Job. Trust in God.”

Other preternatural figures he cited are Moses, who was encouraged and empowered by God to liberate the Israelites from slavery in Egypt and David, who was inspired by God to kill Goliath. These great men epitomize courage to do the will of God.

“Vision includes faith to believe; it also includes courage to do. Do you have the courage to do the will of God? If you do, nothing can stop you. Faith is important, but courage to carry it out is more important. Courage is tied to your destiny,” concluded the Man of God to a standing ovation. Pastor Jean Paul Ntap is the assistant pastor.
