Miracle-Working God Is the Lord of Impossibilities, Says Derick Mimba

By Samuel O. Doku (Washington, DC). Mr. Derick Mimba painted a true picture of the might and wonders of God when he described Him as an expert on impossibilities because of His ability to turn what is seemingly impossible to humans to possible accomplishments to illustrate that He is the omnipotent and omniscient Lord of Creation.

Presenting on the prayer line yesterday (Tuesday) morning, Brother Derick clearly noted that God’s glory is always magnified, when we are confronted with difficult situations and lose all hope of finding solutions, He steps in swiftly to turn impossibilities to possibilities, hopelessness into hope, and diffidence into confidence.

As Brother Derick pointed out, “Through the study of God’s word, He reveals great things to us. The Lord is an expert on impossibilities. If you are faced with a difficult problem, there is no better person to help you than God. God enjoys working on our lives, especially when we find ourselves in dire situations, for with Him, all things are possible.”

Brother Derick read Matthew 19: 26 where in an answer to a question from His disciples, “Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible but with God all things are possible.’” A classic example of the Almighty God turning an impossible situation into a wonderful moment of joy is told in Genesis when a 100-year-old man was able to impregnate his 90-year-old wife because God decreed it to be so.

That story is the miracle of God in the lives of Abraham and his wife Sarah. It is found in Gen. 18: 1-16. After reading the verses, Brother Derick noted: “God can do anything. He never fails to deliver when He promises. Abraham had great faith in God, so he didn’t let his circumstances get in the way. Common sense tells us that at the ages of 100 and 90 respectively, child-bearing is impossible. But, because of Abraham’s strong faith in God, he believed,” noted Mr. Mimba.

Brother Derick encouraged participants on the prayer line not to feel discouraged about their current circumstances and like Abraham and Sarah, they should remain faithful and committed to the Lord, and He would not disappoint them.

“Strengthen your statement of faith in the Lord and declare your belief and trust in Him. Don’t feel discouraged about your circumstances and say, ‘Why has God not answered my prayers?’ Your miracle is on the way, so don’t dwell on your circumstance,” noted Brother Derick, emphasizing that Father Abraham was old, yet his wife gave birth to Isaac.

He read Romans 4: 18-20, “So against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations. Just as it had been said to him, ‘So shall your offspring be.’ Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God but was strengthened in faith and gave the glory to God.”

Brother Derick added that there should be no iota of doubt as to what God can do because He never fails on his promises. “All you have to do is to read the Bible and know His word. In the middle of a raging storm, he will provide a ship to rescue you. In the midst of trouble, he will provide you with the solution. Is there anything too hard for the Lord?” he observed.

Brother Derick added Philippians 4: 8 and Luke 1: 30-37 to the texts he read and asked and assured, “Are you faced with impossible challenges? Don’t worry for He is a God of impossibilities. If He did it for Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and the Prophets, He can do it for you.

“If he could do all those miracles—walk on water, raise the dead, heal the blind and the lame, why doubt Him? There is nothing that He can’t do for you. Whether you are looking for a job or document, He can do it for you.”

Furthermore, he pointed out a stark reality that sometimes, there might be a distant voice stoking fears in you that could lead to doubt, but in those nadir moments, “know that the God we serve is alive; He is a God of impossibilities with the power to make all things happen. Just trust and obey.

“Some folks may laugh at you or your situation. But, don’t worry; keep on striving; keep on pushing and at the appropriate time, He will declare you victorious. He is a God of impossibilities,” concluded Brother Derick Mimba.

Pastor Jean Paul Ntap affirmed Mr. Mimba’s message as very powerful, noting, “The God we serve is able to make a way where there is no way. He is able. If you trust, He wouldn’t forsake you. We know Abraham’s story, but sometimes we forget that God is a God of impossibilities.

Pastor Jean Paul asserted that Christians are sometimes discouraged and feel abandoned if their prayers are not answered on time, but “He answers prayers in His own time. He created us so He knows the purpose for which He created us; therefore, He does things at his own time.”

“Matthew 6: 33 says, ‘Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and everything shall be added unto it.’ He said we should seek him first because it is important for our lives to seek Him first. God sent you here for a purpose, so don’t worry. Celebrate His name every day like Abraham and Sarah did.

“Trust in the blood and power of Jesus because if one door closes, He would open another one for you. He is about to shift you to the next level of glory. Don’t live in the present because your cry won’t change anything. If God can call you His child although you are old, He can do anything for you,” stated Pastor Jean Paul.

He mentioned the importance of the children of God living by faith because it is by grace that the Lord is served. Expect your miracle for what can be so impossible that God can’t do your life,” concluded the man of God.
